 Winter Sports In Corner Brook
My purpose is to promote winter sports in Corner Brook by creating a photo essay. The photos will represent each sport and all that it has to offer. There is a wide range of variety, that will insure there is always something for everyone. I encourage everyone to get out and make the best of Newfoundland’s winter.






Corner brook offers the best skiing program                 
on the island. The skiing resort is located in the town of Steady Brook. Get out and enjoy
Newfoundland’s fresh powder and beautiful
scenery while getting exercise all at once!

The Silver Blades figure skating club offers a program for all ages to come out and learn how to skate. The program takes place at the Civic Center in Corner Brook. It is a great opportunity to learn a new sport and make some new friends

Curling is offered in Corner Brook at the Corner Brook Curling Club. Curling is sport that can be challenging to learn at first, but once you get the hang of it, it is a very fun. Curling is a great way to exercise and it is very easy to do with access to a great facility.
There is a speed skating program offered at the Civic Center. Speed skating is a great sport for anyone who loves the thrill of going fast. Adults and children can take part in this sport, if you really enjoy it there is a team you can join. The team goes to competitive meets. You will never know if you like it until you get out and try it!
The blow me down ski program offers a chance for all ages to come and cross country ski. This is a great opportunity to get outside and get some fresh air while getting exercise.  
Hockey is Canada’s most popular winter sport. It is also a popular sport in Corner Brook. The Corner Brook Minor Hockey Association offers a wide range of boys and girls teams for all ages and levels. Come out and experience the fun of hockey for yourself.




Snowmobiling is also another winter sport that can be easily done in Corner Brooks snowy climate. Even though snowmobiling is not much exercise it is still a very fun way to get outdoors and enjoy the fluffy snow we have.
Sliding is a very popular recreational activity that can be enjoyed here in Corner Brook. We have lots of snow covered hills that make sliding fun. Encourage all your friends to get out and have some fun sliding with you.
